Mike Dearborn, a Chicago born and raised Producer/DJ is a veteran of the electronic music scene. He has been DJ’ing since 1985 and has been producing/remixing since 1989. He has recorded for legendary Chicago labels Warehouse/Muzique Records and Chicago Trax and he has also recorded for Djax Up Beats and his own label, Majesty Recordings, among others. Mike has done remixes for artists such as Gary Numan, Hardfloor, Joey Beltram, The Advent, Eddie ‘Flashin’ Fowlkes and Robert Armani. He has also played some of the best venues worldwide such as the Rex Club, Ministry of Sound, Tresor, The Limelight and Shelter.
After spending several of the last years pursuing interests outside of music, Mike began to focus more on Producing and DJing again. Over the last year, Mike has teamed up with the UK’s Slam to remake one of his first releases “1991” and has done remixes for A.Paul and Francesco Bonora. He performed at high profile events such as Mayday in Dortmund, Awakenings in Amsterdam and Berghain in Berlin. While many promoters book Mike to play his classic techno sound, Mike stays on top of new music and plays current techno as well.
Mike doesn’t plan to slow down in 2014. His label will be relaunched as a digital label in late spring. Also coming this year is a release titled 'Revolution for Change' with Tom Wax on Bush Records, collaborations with many of techno’s top notch producers and new releases of his own. Mike also plans to continue taking his sounds on the road with multiple shows lined up for the coming year in Europe and the US.
